+ABOUT ME+
| I've always been artsy in a way. I was the one that always had the prettier
craft projects in elementary school. Teachers even asked my opinion on what
would look better or more 'fun' for the rest of the glass. Note: Tempera paint,
straws and tissue paper to make trees and flowers seems to be a lost art. Middle school was the start of two things. One - my love of cartoons evolving into something a bit more... Japanese. My first real experience in an 'art' class. And damn did I love it. Art + anime. It was a dangerous combo and I was even teased for it - but then again at my school you got teased even if you didn't have a pair of socks on that day. Although as luck would have it. The teasing won out - and I halted drawing for a nearly two years. High school was when I finally found myself, my experience with anime, other anime artists, artists and even more art classes. I began drawing again my freshman year thanks to a girl I met named Michelle Vargas. I looked up to her then, and still do now. Change and improvement along with experimentation. I did a lot of that in high school, I really did. I also got my fingers into my favorite program ever. Adobe Photoshop. Now I'm 20-plus years old, in (and out of) college, I love anime - hate the anime 'scene'. I'm much more into manga and comics these days as a personal passion and goal to have my own manga creation of some sort soon. Doesn't have to be published (would be nice) - but I just want to HAVE it. An accomplishment beyond all of my static fantasy illustrations although I enjoy doing them still. I've also been slowly getting into cosplaying and just general costume creation. Actually lets just say fashion design. Another beautiful outlet for my crazy creativity and have enjoyed coming across other cosplayers and getting my eyes blinded by many many flash bulbs. Make up and tattooing, body art. This is currently my job, but perhaps another possible future. If anything, this is what I seem to get praise for. My ability to be interested in many things, be flexible and willing. Now if only I could just apply the interest into one for now... Anyway, this is enough about me. My art's more important and much better looking. |
